After 22 years, we left our offices at Bahnhofstrasse 8. The house number remains, but we are now at home at Industriestrasse 8 in Zug (next to Metalli Shopping Mall). 

In 2001, bachmann & partner was founded as a public limited company. Today, more than twenty years later, we have handed over our company to the globally active Howden Group. With this step, which is particularly important for us, we can set up a succession solution for our company within which we can continue to help shape and develop it in the future.

Howden Broking is a leading independent insurance broker headquartered in London. In Switzerland, Howden is managed by Felix Jenny and Sergio Capuzzi, both respected individuals and professional colleagues. Our name will remain the same: bachmann & partner ag will simply trade additionally as 'Member of Howden Group'.

As managing partners, we and the whole team will continue to manage and implement the existing business and client relationships of bachmann & partner ag. This means that nothing will change for our clients; we will continue to personally guarantee first-class service. With the affiliation to Howden, we are now part of an international brokerage group with distribution and expertise in 40 countries.

Over the last twenty years, we have had the privilege of building a company with a first-class reputation. This is also thanks to our clients and partners. We have always managed and developed our brokerage company prudently and successfully. By expanding Howden's geographical presence, we can now offer even more expertise from a single source in Switzerland and continue to develop.

Howden Group Communication

In recent months, we have completely renewed our central IT infrastructure, i.e. hardware, software, and telephony. In the context of the digital transformation, the previous systems no longer met all the current and certainly no longer all the future customer expectations in the corporate client business. To find a solution, we conducted several workshops with our IT partner first frame networkers ag. Participation in an intensive HSG seminar with a focus on digitalisation topics for insurance brokers also ensured that upcoming industry developments could be integrated into the project. 

In the end, we opted for a multi-cloud approach. We are connected to two first-class Swiss data centres with Microsoft Azure and first 365 Cloud. Thanks to the connection of telephony to Microsoft Teams with cloud-based Swisscom trunk, we can be reached by our customers and partners under the familiar business telephone number from anywhere. This was and is of great benefit, especially during lockdown phases and home office duty. The processing of the diverse work processes takes place regardless of whether work is done on the business premises or in the home office. Video telephony as well as the sharing of screen content optimally support both customer meetings as well as presentations and internal meetings.  During the first quarter of 2021, we also began to provide our first customers with online access to policies and invoices via our new customer portal. All connections are consistently protected with two-factor authentication.

We are convinced that, with these measures, we have once again secured a top technological position in the ever-advancing digitalisation.

Swiss Insurance & Financial Advisors (SIFA) GmbH in Zurich and bachmann & partner ag have agreed on a extensive cooperation. SIFA is also an insurance broker focussed on small and medium sized corporate and wealthy private clients. The company transfers the back-office administration as well as other customer services to bachmann & partner ag. In this context, the teams of the two companies mutually reinforce each other. SIFA was founded in 2001 by Chairman and Owner Diego M. Rovelli. The company is a member of the Swiss Insurance Brokers Association SIBA.
